Diets For Quick Weight Loss
When it comes to finding diets for quick weight loss, there are many options out there. You may feel a bit overwhelmed trying to sift through all of the information. This website is designed to be a good resource for discovering the various diets for quick weight loss and providing you with helpful tips and information.
One of the most important things to remember is that long term weight loss is about a lifestyle change. Sure, you can go on crash diets in the short term and lose a significant amount of weight, but without a long term diet and exercise plan, the weight can pile right back on after you end the diet – sometimes even more weight comes back than before! It is also really important to mention that, no matter what your health situation, you should always consult your physician prior to making any major changes in your diet. The goal of weight loss is obviously to improve and/or maintain health, checking with your doctor will help ensure that you do not do any damage to yourself when trying to lose weight. Once you have these things in order finding the best diets for quick weight loss will be easy.

My tested Diets For Quick Weight Loss
I have tried a couple diets for quick weight loss myself and have written my own personal opinions to share with my readers.
The first diets for quick weight loss program that I tried was the 4 Step Formula. This diet is designed for everyone, regardless of age or body type, because Kyle Kasey, the creator of this highly effective weight loss program, has developed a great system based on the 3 components of weight loss. I was happy with the results and you can read my review HERE
I have also been trying the 4 Hour Body method of diets for quick weight loss. This one is not unlike the 4 Step Formula, but it has more restrictions. One thing I have noticed is faster results. I tried it myself and lost 5 pounds in a week! I plan to get back on it ASAP.
Diets For Quick Weight Loss – Do Not Misuse!
You will hear it over and over again, but make sure you are not jumping on some fad diet that will hurt your health. I have laid out a few important rules of diets for quick weight loss in this post.
Four Hour Body? Is Slow-Carb dieting the quickest way to lose weight?
I have been researching the 4 Hour Body by Tim Ferris lately and I have to say I am intrigued. After many hours of reading about it on various sites, including a forum dedicated to the book, It would seem that this plan might just be the ultimate of diets for quick weight loss.
I haven’t read the book yet, but you can pick it up from Amazon HERE if you want to read it and learn more. The plan is simple and involves 4 basic rules for eating and minimal exercise. It seems that the people that follow this diet like to call themselves “body hackers” because what they are doing is narrowing down to a VERY basic diet of protein/vegetable/beans and then adding or removing items one at a time to see what things might case weight gain, muscles loss or gain etc.
The book goes into a lot more detail about using ice packs or ice baths to accelerate fat loss, certain vitamins/minerals you can take, and some other things. But, the main focus, at least from my perspective, is the eating plan. It looks a little bit like this:
The Four Rules of Eating a 4 Hour Body Diet:
Rule #1: Avoid carbohydrates in the form of “white foods”
Basically, this refers to grains and potatoes. No bread, pasta, rice, cereal or the like. No breaded or fried foods either. It also suggest you treat dairy as a “white food” and avoid it almost completely. The exception to this is the occasional bit of cottage cheese or heavy cream in your coffee. If you do heavy training, you may eat a bit of these within 1.5 hours after your session, otherwise don’t do it. Read More…
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
I’ve made several mentions about this type of cardio exercise on my blog, so I felt it would be a good idea to do a complete write up for all my readers, to help further explain what this type of exercise is, how to incorporate it into your routine and what many experts believe are the true benefits (and I agree with them!)
So, what exactly is HIIT?
The gist of HIIT is this;it is cardio done in short bursts of high intensity intervals over a 20 or 30 minute period of time. So, instead of running for 30 minutes straight at a steady pace, you would jog to warm up for a few minutes, then sprint for a few minutes at a high intensity, then go back to light jogging to recover, then sprint again, and so on. repeat about 7 times over 20-30 minutes. Alternately, you can do this on a stationary bike and go high intensity for 30 seconds, and cool down for 90, then repeat over 20 minutes.
The idea is to get your heart rate up quite high for that short period of time, when in that zone your body becomes a mad fat burning machine! But, it is not sustainable for more than a minute or two, so you cool back down and recover with moderate cardio in between.
Why is HIIT so much better?
Well, perhaps that depends on who you ask, but according to several fitness and health experts that I follow, such as Dr. Mercola and Mike Geary of “The Truth About Abs” fame, this type of cardio has much more of an impact on fat burning and can be done in less time. Also, it does not effect muscle mass, so if you lift weights or body build, this will help you keep the muscle and bulk while melting away the fat! Have you ever seen a marathon runner that looked like the Terminator? NO! Now, think about the Olympians that sprint? Much more muscular, aren’t they?
3 Miracle Foods that Burn Fat
Is there such thing as fat burning foods? It may sound too good to be true, but science has revealed that people who consume certain foods end up losing more weight than those who don’t eat the foods – even when all other factors are the same!
Let’s take a look at three best fat burning foods, according to science:
Beans
Beans are a preferred protein source for dieters everywhere. They contain a healthy mix of protein and carbohydrates. Beans are challenging to digest, so it takes your body longer to process them. This is a good thing, because it keeps your blood sugar stable and helps you stay full longer.
But the real magic of beans lies in their fiber content. Fiber is like a workout for your digestive system. It keeps things running smoothly, and prevents your blood glucose from spiking too high. Plain beans are the best choice. Sugary baked beans or fatty refried beans can sabotage your weight loss efforts by supplying too many calories and simple carbs.
Skim Milk
Of all the foods that burn fat, calcium is perhaps the most popular proven metabolism booster. In fact, studies have proven that calcium causes weight loss. Two groups of test subjects were studied. The groups did everything the same, except that one group received several servings of calcium each day. Surprisingly, that group lost almost three times as much weight as the group who did not receive extra calcium.
You can get calcium from vegetables like broccoli, but dairy products remain the most popular choice. Choose products made from 2%, 1%, or fat-free milk. They deliver the greatest amount of calcium in the lowest amount of calories.
Green Tea
Green tea has been touted as a dieter’s miracle product for years. It contains powerful antioxidants that reduce the number of potentially cancerous free radicals in the body. Its modest caffeine content is enough to perk up your heart rate and metabolism without putting undue stress on your body. It is also a mild diuretic, which can be helpful for getting rid of retained fluid.
Green tea has also been studied as a fat-burner, and the results have been encouraging. People who drink 4 – 6 cups of green tea per day enjoy faster weight loss than those who don’t drink green tea.
